Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

These terms govern your use of DiagNotes ("DiagNotes", "we", "us"). By installing or using the app, you accept these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Service description

DiagNotes is a desktop app for medical interpreters who take work notes, use predictive suggestions from saved terms, and look up definitions during their writing flow. It is a productivity and documentation tool, not a clinical service.

DiagNotes does not diagnose, interpret symptoms, recommend treatment, perform triage, score clinical risk, promise clinical outcomes, or replace professional judgment.

DiagNotes is not an electronic health record, official medical record, or institutional recordkeeping system. It is not designed to preserve interpreter notes as a medical, administrative, or legal record.

Notes in the main workspace are temporary. DiagNotes does not provide a note save, export, or load workflow. Deleted content may appear in a temporary session trash area for immediate recovery, but that trash is not persistent storage and should not be treated as a record.

DiagNotes does not require patient identifiers for its normal, intended use. Terminology lookup is local-first; unresolved lookups may be processed through the DiagNotes API to return terminology and definitions.

3. User content and professional responsibility

You are responsible for the content you write, keep, copy, share, or transmit outside DiagNotes. You are also responsible for complying with your professional obligations, employer or client rules, confidentiality duties, and applicable law.

Use terminology search for generic medical terms or short generic phrases, not patient names, record numbers, contact details, dates of birth, or case narratives.

4. Accounts

Some features require an account. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for activity under your account. Report unauthorized use through support.

5. Acceptable use

You agree to use DiagNotes lawfully and not to compromise its security, interfere with its operation, or use it for unlawful purposes. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.

6. Payments and subscriptions

Payments are processed through Paddle, our payment provider. Available subscriptions and packs, as well as their prices, are listed on the pricing page. Refund conditions are described in the refund policy.

Payment completion links may open from an existing app or authenticated purchase flow. Account login, subscription changes, plan reactivation, and entitlement status are handled in the app or in authenticated surfaces outside this public website.

7. Download

The download page will show platform, version, and checksum when a public installer exists. Until then, it shows an honest placeholder and does not link to local or temporary files.

8. Intellectual property

DiagNotes and its marks, software, and content are owned by their respective owners or licensors. Content you create with the app remains yours.

9. Limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is", without guarantees that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent allowed by law, DiagNotes is not liable for indirect damages or damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the service.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will publish the current version on this page with its update date. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
